As someone who has been watching him play live for 28 years, there is nothing wrong with liking his old stuff. The problem is those that slag him off for not playing a full Jam set! On Sunday I heard quite a few people moaning and groaning saying his solo work is rubbish. To them I say it's time to leave the party, you are wasting your time and money. In my view the fact Paul Weller still acknowledges the Jam in his set even if its only 3 or 4 songs is fantastic particularly when his solo work just keeps getting better. Brilliant festival, all bands were superb as was the scooter rally at Ryde the day before. |

Perhaps he was setting an example for the youngster at the side of the stage who, I take it, was the latest Weller offspring. |

Weller great, weather great. Some of us like his old stuff and considering it was on the weekend of one of the biggest scooter rallies in the world and the said Modfather being the icon of everything mod and scootering he could have at least acknowledged it and played a few more Jam tracks, he does at every other gig. Noticed he is on the wagon, weller not often seen drinking water on stage !!Thanks for brilliant day x |

It was Andy Crofts from the MOONS who plays keyboard for Weller during the live shows. |

Anyone know who the guest was, who appeared on stage with Weller near the end of the set? Face seemed familiar, but couldn't place him.
I think blankets etc are quite in order, given that it's a small festival, and we always have them at the bigger festies. What we need is more respect from everyone for everyone else and their belongings. |

hmmmm... apparently you had first class bards and top notch facilities. Your bars have to be sorted out guys, your toilet facilities were fine but right at the very farthest point away.... not very good on customer service on the website either, are you chaps? Lots of druggies out of their heads acting like twats... music was excellent but can we have a bit more thought into making summer madness a great, groovy family friendly event please (with decent customer service on website)? |

Had a great time - Weller excellent as always, shame the idiots who just want to hear his old stuff still keep coming to his gigs. Good venue, shame there was no merchandise. Not sure the VIP section was worth it. Seemed more crowded than some sections of the main area. Good selection of bands, loved the moons, Imelda May, the Bees and the Coral. All in all, we had a good day. |

Had a great time. Weller was excellent. Shame that not many people there for The Moons who were great (they should have been on after Saint Jude - late replacement for Twisted Wheel). Confused about the no food/drink/kids/umbrellas, etc. As this was staged on a Bank Holiday weekend in England, surely the latter was an essential. If it had rained hard, what would the organisers expect people to do? Get pneumonia?? Also, never been to a gig that big with no merchandise - some sort of souvenir would have been nice. But, having said all that, still a very enjoyable day. |
